Now that is a friendly welcome.
Just having a nose around the forum pondering what to post first.
I have a short story I've sat on for a while, (years) looking to submit it to a publication of some sort, but where? I could post it on here and you can let me know what you think... that how this works?

I suggest you have a look at the Monthly Mille - not necessarily with reference to your existing short story, but for some inspiration and just plain fun.
