Tis good

Certainly 'tis, though I first heard it at the end of the best of the Pogues. Didn't listen to much music 20 years ago, beyond the theme tune to Transformers. 25 years ago I think I was quite content with the dulcet sounds of the womb (not that remember what that sounds like, but I imagine it's dulcet, nonetheless) Wink

Virtually anything written by Peter Gabriel.

Soon as I woke up this morning, I switched the TV on, flicked to a music chanel and caught the start of something called 'Hate Me' by Blue October. Keep in mind, he's singing to his mother...

"Iím sober now for 3 whole months itís one accomplishment that you helped me with
The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing I wonít touch again
And in a sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night
While I was busy waging wars with myself, you were trying to stop the fight
You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate
You made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take
So Iíll drive so fucking far away that I never cross your mind
And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind"

Blue October - Hate Me

Just been reading a couple of reviews for the above mentioned Blue October, and both list Peter Gabriel as one of the band's influences.

I love life's little parrallels Cool
