Shocked 2005 was good for me. Convinced me I could actually "write".

Went quietly mad in haiku dungeon.
Got in Secret Attic competition anthology.
Got a placing in Eurofiction comp that I was pleasantly surprised with.
Got in the Slingink Eurofiction Vol 1 anthology.
Self published "Arnageddon to Zen" collection of shorts via Lulu in the US.
Gained the unanimous disapproval of my relatives for my writing of sex scenes.

In 2006 I'm starting A215 Creative Writing in Feb, which I'm quite excited about.

Not been subbing much, but that will change shortly

I've got two novels started (and stalled) that are going to get serious this year.

I'm pleased.

Armegeddon to Zen?????

Kept that a bit quiet.... link please. Rolling Eyes

Good year for you, Alan.
I forgot about the hiakus. They're the only thing I've actually been paid for. Sad

Well done to you.

Shocked Well, it's all stuff that you've read here anyway, so I couldn't suggest any TWIT go and buy it with a clear conscience.

Also postage is horrendous.

It's here on Lulu

http://www.lulu.com/content/148884#

and on Amazon US (but not UK unfortunately)

Alan

You must definitely be a writer - if you've gained the unanimous disapproval of your relatives that clinches it!

Hope you have many more successes in 2006. See you on A215.

Shocked Thanks Jannet

It's been fun - and TWIT's have made it all the more enjoyable.

Alan, Writers' Dock is a bit like Portsmouth Docks - so many cranes that you can't see any ships. I've been there for a week or so and it still takes me ages to find my own stuff, let alone anyone else's. Well done on the Pick of the Week. I shall try to find it. Failing that I'll come back here for that link.

As for Armageddon, I've done one of my 453 weeks of postage time, so it should make its way to Huddersfield soonish. I expect it's on a jalopy on Route 66 at the moment. Looking forward to it with relish. I'm useless at reading prose online, but give it me in a proper book and I'm rapacious.
