‘Convergence: the meeting place of eight poets’ is a collection of poems published by Circaidy Gregory Press.

It relates to a competition conducted by Earlyworks Press in 2014, in which entrants were invited to submit a small folio of work. Those shortlisted then submitted a second folio.

The judging panel included Mandy, Catherine and Marilyn.

The shortlisted poets include Eilidh and myself, who both have work featured in this collection.

In fact, I am somewhat over-represented, having 11 poems out of 52, covering 22 pages out of 76.

Details can be found here: http://circaidygregory.co.uk/Convergence.htm

Your 'over-representation' (which it isn't at all) is down to the fact that once the judging was over, me and Mandy set to editing, and so many of your poems were so good, they had to be in there.

It's a super collection. Published by Kay Green at Circaidy Gregory Press, cover art by me, poems by John, Eilidh, Andie Lewenstein, Anthony Watts, June Wentland, Mick Evans, Rata Gordon and Angela Arnold.

Congrats to all involved Smile

Thanks everyone.

I wasn't sure how well I would fare in this competition. When I read the blog of one of the judges, I found myself disagreeing with almost everything he had to say about poetry.

Now that I've retired from work, I find I am not driven to write anything. Which is why I haven't been active on this site for a while.

Well done, John. It's a terrific collection and I'm proud to be associated with it. I hope lots more of your poems will make their way into print soon.

I haven't been on TWI for a very long while for various reasons. However, I'm going to be at Exeter Hall next week. At long last I hope to meet some of the people from here and other poets of Convergence. Best wishes to all. Eilidh xx
