Hello chaps!

An unexpected and warm welcome awaited my arrival! Thank you so much!... Very Happy

Donna
I took the liberty of taking a look at your blog thingy via 'the other house' and found a link to the write idea and the thought of "a reading room" appealed to me enormously for my work is quite disorganised slapdash, sporadic and prone to the whim and fancy of my muse.

Delph
A name I recognise, thank you for your welcome.

Womble, QBall and GESSEJ thank you also and I hope to read your work very soon.

A little about me;
I live in Surrey, England and work in central London where I hold down a job catering for the security needs and close protection of the fashionably rich and anonymous.

I started writing about 10 years ago. I joined a couple of sites and was criticised for my carrer choice back then to such an extreme that I stopped.
Encouraged by a few American types who have remained my friends ever since, I resumed my writing muse and joined a few, more welcoming sites.

I write mostly fiction; short stories and novellas, or at least I try.
I am currently engaged in a full sized manuscript and by the time its done I think it will be a trilogy.

I've written two novellas relating to a crime busting duo working as cops in an inner city area of London and I have a third, unfinished one in this genre. The first work was written back in about 1999 and needs a re draft. I think I would like to post them here for critique...

I am an unpublished, untrained wannabee writer happy and eager to receive the harshest of critique for thats the only way I learn.

Tony... Smile

Hello Satis and thank you for your warm welcome.
My CV could have gone on for a bit, I thought it got boring.... Smile

I hope to read some of your work soon.

Most interesting! I was raised in Croydon for 23 years and my daughter lives in Horley. My wife and I visit just about every year, so we are familiar with Surrey. If you want to read my work (Gawd help you) look up the name L. Roger Quilter. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!

Don't mention Croydon! I had an EVIL dentist there for about fifteen years. *shivers*

Hi Tony,

a rather late welcome, I'm afraid, but I got here in the end.

God to see another novelist on the site, the numbers are building, and a lot of us are relative newbies to it too.

Look forward to seeing you around. Very Happy
