What are yours?

And I'm not talking about getting laid/pissed/stoned. What would be your recomendation to the world to simply chill: that last thing you do at night; your wind down when you get home from work; that simple little thing you do when all the chaos needs putting in perspective...

I'm just about to partake in my favourite. I'm not a regular smoker, but I love a single cigarette with a light drink and a random episode of Futurama to round off my night *sigh* Cool

Peace out y'all

When my world is topsy turvy and I can't grab hold of it and set it securely back on its axis, I walk until I'm all thunk out.

If life's giving me a headache, I potter around in my garden - there's something about being outside in the fresh air with mud under my nails which eases me back into perspective.

And when I can't turn my head off to sleep at night, I immerse myself in a bath until my head starts to float into drowsinness, then I snuggle into my bed and read until my lids weigh a ton and gravity takes over.

I find a bit of meloy helps when my head is stressed out.

Some gentle, folky, guitary stuff, or a bit of Norah Jones usually does the trick.

I've just bought an aerobics video, which to my surprise has a short yoga sequence at the end of it which is really relaxing. I usually just fast-forward to that bit at the end of the night lol...can't be bothered to get fit! Rolling Eyes

I know it probably just sounds like hard work but 10 minutes of that with some gentle music in the background, and nothing can keep me awake!

Apart from that I also find that reading whilst taking a nice relaxing bath works too- just try not to get the book wet! Laughing

Apart from Sparkle's suggestion, which I have to agree with, I like to sit on my own in the living room, everyone is in bed except me, and have a cup of tea (boring old cow) one, possibly two cigarettes and a read of me book. Sometimes I will put the earphones on. The music doesn't have to be relaxing, just whatever I fancy at the time.
