GENERAL GUIDELINES
The 'Members' Writing' section is the place to post your work if you want to receive constructive criticism.
If you don't want other people to comment on your work, please post it in 'The Reading Room'.
As everyone who posts their work in the 'Members' Writing' section is looking for feedback, we feel it is only fair that if you post a piece of your work on here, you provide feedback for at least one other piece of work.
If you do not post your own work in 'Members' Writing', you will not be expected to give other writers feedback on their work here (although you are very welcome to do so.)
TIPS WHEN POSTING
It often helps to focus a critic's mind, (and might also increase the number of crits your work gets) if your post includes one or more specific questions.
TIPS WHEN CRITIQUING
The criticisms you make should be:
honest
few in number (I'd suggest a maximum of three.)
important in nature (don't nit-pick)
focussed on improvement
You should also be able to give some genuine positive feedback on the work. If you can't, then maybe you should find another piece of work to critique. _________________ Helen
