The 2012 Whittaker is over - and huge congrats to everyone involved. I can now reveal that during the comp a book of mine was released. ARIA is a trilogy of which Left Luggage is the first. It's a medical drama / science fiction using a unique premise that popped into my head while puffing up a hill on my bike in Wales.
Infectious amnesia is that original idea. After I'd written the novel I was desperately scared someone else would think of it too, but apparently not. Now ARIA: Left Luggage is published this summer.
Details on my blog along with Amazon links.

There’s a link to the vid trailer at the bottom. I’d be beholden to you if you’d click on it, and leaving a ‘like’ would be marvellous. Or, in Youtube just search for ARIA: Left Luggage

Cheers,
Geoff

shared with my numerous and legion Facebook friends, Geoff.

And I reckon it should make the movies!

Thanks, Doug.

BTW
In the dentist chair I was asked if I'd done anything exciting recently. I replied that lately a new book of mine had been published and I'd cycled up a Greek mountain - oh, and I've just finished being a judge for the Whittaker, and I am in the paper today.
She said, "And the weather's been so awful, hasn't it?"

And I thought it was me with the hearing defect, although she might have thought I was joking.

Blurb:
Today, Jack caught a bug at work. He catches a bus home. By the time he disembarks in the desert town of Rosamond, all the other passengers and the driver have fuzzy heads. Jack had caught an amnesia bug, and it’s infectious. Imagine the ramifications: The passengers arrive home infecting family; some shop en route infecting everyone they meet. The bus driver receives more passengers giving them change for last week’s prices and today’s amnesia. Some passengers just started work at the power plant, the water treatment works, the hospital, fire station. All to shut in weeks. Ryder, in the UK, realizes what’s going on but can he persuade friends to barricade themselves in a secluded valley, hiding from the amnesia bug?
