| Quote: | | Hi, Marilyn. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Things are slightly insane in TheDeer's world at the moment. |
I wrote to The Deer in June about a possible puff for my book, red silk slippers, that came out in April, but the Deer is clearly still undergoing treatment and I didn't hear any more about it. However, here it is, available along with another fantastic volume published by the incomparable Circaidy Gregory Press |

recently had first two books (novellas) republished as a single book... S.F.& T. / Bunkbeds & Chilli vodka thru paroxysm press. go to: www.paroxysmpress.com for details... also in the ten year anthology - ten years of things that didn't kill us and a couple of other collections there...
or go to www.ozmusicbooks.com - for purchasing... quick, efficient (well a lot quicker than me!) _________________ " i drink, when i drink i move in the wrong direction" bukowski |

Hi folks. First of all many apologies for being AWOL for so long, it's not that I don't care about you folks any more - I just don't seem to have time to 'chat' any more. Thats no good is it, it's no excuse to neglect one's friends, so I'm going to try to make a resolution to make an appearance on this group a llot more regularly!
I know there are several people here besides me, who are published, and I agree, it would be great to have a list of authors and their books. Come on, don't be shy, get that info into Donna.
I'm a bit shy about bragging about my work myself, I have to admit. The great thing about being published with a small indi publisher though, is that one quickly learns that in order to sell any copies at all, people have to know your book's out there, and unless you manage to land a contract with one of the big publishing houses, you're going to have to do most of that promotional work yourself. (And even if you are, unless you're a J K Rowling or Dan Brown, Publishers still expect you to self-promote, these days)
So come on, stop hiding your lights under bushels and send that info to Donna. It's great to see several people on this thread have already posted their successes, it's so encouraging to see people you 'know' getting their work 'out there'.
Hey Russel - thanks for visiting The Wild Rose Press. That quote is great, isn't it - as a 'Western' enthusiast I can completely relate to it - but it's actually the motto for the 'Western Historical' genre, not the Publisher as a whole, although I think it's pretty fitting for the romance genre as a whole! _________________ ~~~~~~~

Russel is right in that we writers are far too shy to come forward with the books we work hard to write and get published. The promo doesn't come as naturally to us and is even somewhat distateful compared to story creation.
So here goes. I have two thrillers out - Escaping Reality and Hot Air, and a science fiction also with steamy sex in space (apparently) in Exit, Pursued by a Bee. Details such as descriptions, reviews, video trailers and purchase info are at
http://geoffnelder.com with links on the home page there. I also have amazon author's page - different for com and co.uk which is a pain.
